This is the Timossi Ferrari Arno XI 1953 Motorboat Nando Dell Orto Prototype in 1:18 scale by BBR.

The Arno XI, an icon of power and speed, is a record-breaking hydroplane built in 1953 by Cantieri Timossi for Achille Castoldi. This jewel of powerboating is powered by a 4.5-liter Ferrari V12 engine, the same one used on the Ferrari 375 Formula 1 car, enhanced with two superchargers. On October 15, 1953, on the waters of Lake Iseo, Castoldi set a world speed record for motor-powered hydroplanes, reaching 242.708 km/h. Record still unbeaten.

Later, the Arno XI was acquired by Nando Dell'Orto, a passionate engineer and powerboat racer. Dell'Orto not only continued to race the hydroplane successfully but also made significant improvements to its aerodynamics, helping to maintain the boat's competitiveness. Throughout the 1960s, Dell'Orto and the Arno XI achieved numerous victories, including the 1960 European Championship, further solidifying the legend of this extraordinary hydroplane. The Arno XI represents a perfect combination of precision engineering and the craftsmanship of Cantieri Timossi, a work of art that has marked the history of powerboating.

This model is hand painted and polished to a beautiful finish and has a sealed body. BBR models are
known for their accuracy of scale, shape and detail throughout the industry. Each model is created using
a variety of production processes, to achieve this precision. They are produced using a composite
material referred to in the industry as “resin”. Photo etched parts, die-cutting, tampo printing and
waterslide decals are often used for the most authentic replication.
BBR models are usually produced in very small production quantities that often sell out at "pre-order"
