The Ferrari 512S Long Tail, car number 7, was piloted by Derek Bell and Ronnie Peterson during the 1970 24 Hours of Le Mans. Unfortunately, their race was cut short due to a gearbox failure, leading to their retirement after 38 laps. Derek Bell, a British driver, would later become renowned for his endurance racing successes, including five Le Mans victories. Ronnie Peterson, hailing from Sweden, was celebrated for his exceptional speed and skill, earning the nickname "SuperSwede" during his Formula One career. The 1970 Le Mans race was particularly notable for the fierce competition between Ferrari and Porsche, with challenging weather conditions adding to the event's intensity.

This model is hand painted and polished to a beautiful finish and has a sealed body. Resin models are
exceptionally accurate of scale, shape and detail. Each model is created using a variety of production
processes, to achieve this precision. They are produced using a composite material referred to in the
industry as “resin”. Photo etched parts, die-cutting, tampo printing and waterslide decals are often used
for the most authentic replication.
