This is the Lotus 101 1989 British GP Driver: N. Piquet in 1:18 scale by Tecnomodel.

At the 1989 British Grand Prix, Nelson Piquet drove the Lotus 101, a car powered by a Judd V8 engine, as he tackled the iconic Silverstone circuit. Piquet, a three-time world champion, brought experience and determination to the struggling Lotus team. Despite the 101’s limitations—especially with its underpowered engine compared to rivals with turbocharged or more refined power units—Piquet skillfully managed to push the car's capabilities. The 1989 season was notable for the ban on turbocharged engines, marking a return to naturally aspirated engines, which shifted the competitive landscape. Piquet’s efforts at Silverstone underscored both his prowess and Lotus’s resilience in an era defined by rapid transitions and new technical regulations in Formula 1.

This model is hand painted and polished to a beautiful finish and has a sealed body. Resin models are
exceptionally accurate of scale, shape and detail. Each model is created using a variety of production
processes, to achieve this precision. They are produced using a composite material referred to in the
industry as “resin”. Photo etched parts, die-cutting, tampo printing and waterslide decals are often used
for the most authentic replication.
