This is the Porsche 908/03 #40 2nd 1970 Targa Florio in 1:18 scale by WERK83.

In the 1970 Targa Florio, held on May 3, the Porsche 908/03 bearing number 40, entered by the Gulf-liveried John Wyer Automotive team, was driven by Pedro Rodríguez and Leo Kinnunen. Rodríguez, feeling unwell on race day, completed only two laps before Kinnunen took over. Demonstrating exceptional skill on the demanding 71.9-kilometer Circuito Piccolo delle Madonie, Kinnunen set a record lap time of 33 minutes and 36 seconds, averaging 128.571 km/h—a record that remains unbeaten. The duo secured a second-place finish, contributing to Porsche's dominance in the event. The 1970 Targa Florio was notable for its challenging course, featuring between 700 to 900 corners per lap, and for the intense competition between Porsche and Ferrari, with local hero Nino Vaccarella driving a Ferrari 512S to a third-place finish.

This model is hand painted and polished to a beautiful finish and has a sealed body. These diecast
models are exceptionally accurate of scale, shape and detail. Interior detail is hand assembled and easily
visible. Photo etched parts, die-cutting, tampo printing and waterslide decals are often used for a most
authentic replication.
